It is very easy to process and can be made into various shapes of utensils and products.
On the other hand, tempered glass has improved strength and thermal stability. It can withstand large temperature differences, which is three times that of ordinary glass, and can form tiny obtuse-angled particles when broken, which greatly improves safety and is widely used in furniture, electronic appliances, building decoration, automobiles and other fields.
As for the backboard, there are usually two types: PVC board and density board. PVC board is waterproof, moisture-proof, and moth-proof. It has built-in flame-retardant materials, making it safer to use and relatively light in weight. With its smooth surface and excellent dimensional stability, density board can still maintain good shape under changes in ambient temperature and humidity, making it suitable for places that require long-term stability.

(1) Characteristics of organic glass:
①High transparency. Plexiglas is currently the best polymer transparent material, with a light transmittance of 92%, which is higher than that of glass. The lamp tube of the sun lamp called an artificial small sun is made of quartz because quartz can completely transmit ultraviolet rays. Ordinary glass can only transmit 0.6% of ultraviolet rays, but plexiglass can transmit 73%.
②High mechanical strength. The relative molecular mass of plexiglass is about 2 million. It is a long-chain polymer compound, and the chains that form the molecules are very soft. Therefore, plexiglass has relatively high strength, and its tensile and impact resistance is 7~ higher than that of ordinary glass. 18 times. Therefore, stretched plexiglass can be used as bulletproof glass and can also be used as canopy on military aircraft.
③Light weight. The density of plexiglass is 1.18kg/dm3. For a material of the same size, its weight is only half that of ordinary glass and 43% that of metallic aluminum (a light metal).
④Easy to process. Plexiglas can not only be cut with lathes and drilled with drills, but can also be bonded into various shapes with acetone, chloroform, etc., and can also be processed into shapes as large as airplanes using plastic molding methods such as blow molding, injection, and extrusion. Cockpit covers, products as small as dentures and dental trays.
(2) Characteristics of tempered glass:
①Increased strength: The mechanical strength, impact resistance, and bending strength of tempered glass can reach 4-5 times that of ordinary glass.
② Improved thermal stability: Tempered glass can withstand huge temperature differences without being damaged, and its ability to resist temperature changes is three times that of ordinary float glass of the same thickness.
③Improved safety: After the tempered glass is damaged by strong force, tiny obtuse-angled particles will quickly appear, thus ensuring maximum personal safety. Applications: Furniture, electronic and electrical industries, construction, decoration industries, bathrooms, cars, escalators, and other places where safety is particularly required and there are drastic changes in temperature. It can also be used as the original piece of insulating glass and laminated glass. The backboard is divided into PVC board and density board. PVC board is waterproof, moisture-proof and moth-proof. Contains flame retardant materials, safe to use, and lighter than density board. The density board is smooth and has good dimensional stability when the ambient temperature and humidity change.
